Bentley is a taller, mainly black/grey, rough coat JR/Patterdale terrier mix, age 4yrs

He has come to us as his family could no longer take care of him and is now looking for a new home. Sadly he has been in and out of shelters and homes in his 3 short years, and is looking for just the right patient and loving new family.

He is a gentle and soft soul who needs to meet his new family.

He can be a little nervous at first of new people but quickly warms to gentle kindness.

He knows to sit politely for a treat and enjoys his walk on lead. Bentley needs someone who is home most of the time and a fully enclosed, colourbond fenced yard, prehaps even an enclosed run for his safety.

Bentley needs a new home with a family experienced and confident with the JR Breed, as his mix of terriers are bred as energetic hunters it is essential his new family are willing to work with him and the tenacious nature of terriers. He is best suited to a family without children, and people who have a quieter home without a lot of visitors which are coming and going.

Tofu is a taller than average tan and white, smooth coat JR mix male aged 8yrs.

He is more of a medium sized dog.

He has come to us as his family had to move, and other family members weren’t able to care for him.

He knows to sit, beg for a treat and can be quite strong on lead.

He is use to living both indoors and outdoors with children. He hasn’t lived with other dogs or cats.

He can be a little shy at first but warms to gentle kindness.

Tofu is best suited to a quiet, kind and gentle family with kids aged over 12yrs who will include him as part of the family.

He needs people prepared to get to know him at our shelter and who don’t have a busy household with a lot of visitors. HE is wary of all unfamiliar people but is happy with people he knows.

He comes desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed, heartworm tested and lifetime registration in NSW for $500.

Elizabeth is a taller than and white, smooth coat female, medium sized mixed breed, aged 3yrs

She has come to us as her family could no longer take care of her and is now looking for a new loving home.

Elizabeth was born in the care of RSPCA and came to JRR as a newborn pup with her mother, a mixed breed, and littermates (Walton’s litter).

She was adopted at 8wks but is now back in our care.

She is very timid meeting new people but, with patience and gentle encouragement she is a happy and loving girl. She knows to sit for a treat and really looks forward to them so this will help with her continued training.

She is now looking forward to small walks and is getting used to the lead with more confidence everyday.

She was a little underweight, and with two meals a day she is also looking and feeling more confident.

Elizabeth is looking for a new home without young kids, teenage/adult children who can understand to give her the time she needs to gain trust.

We think she needs a family who have had experience with rescue dogs before, and who have the time and patience to do positive reinforcement training with a routine rewards and treats.

We would love to see her blossom with people who will include her as part of the family.

Taleah is a taller, solid build, mainly black and white, Smith coat Fox Terrier mix female aged 9yrs.

She has been in and out of homes and shelters and needs a new secure home and family.

She can be vocal, fast at the gate and tugs on the lead. All things an unsettled dog will do but are easily reversed with security love and patience.

She’s very affectionate and loves to be in your lap and right up in your face.

She has lived with other dogs and may be suitable with a similar sized or smaller tolerant male but they would need to meet at our shelter. She may be too much for some young children and older people.

She is used to living indoors and is a little nervous travelling.
